Who We Are

The Aqaba Water Company was established in August 2004, embodying the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein to address the water situation in the Kingdom as a strategic challenge. Its aim was to raise the operational efficiency of the water and wastewater sectors in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone and the Aqaba Governorate in general, in order to meet the increasing demand for water and wastewater services and improve the services provided to subscribers in these two sectors, thereby positively impacting the investment climate and providing... The suitable environment for all investment sectors, to be the first company of its kind in the Kingdom to be entrusted with managing the water and sewage sectors in its coverage area, after it has become financially and administratively independent.

The company’s water supply services cover 100% of the Aqaba Governorate.

As a result of the advanced performance achieved by the Aqaba Water Company in managing the water and wastewater sector in the Aqaba Governorate, contracts were signed to manage the water sector in the Southern Region, starting with the Ma'an Governorate in April 2021. The expansion then extended to include the operational commencement of the water and wastewater sector in the Karak and Tafila Governorates starting in 2022.
