As part of its corporate social responsibility and in support of individuals with Down syndrome, the Aqaba Water Company sponsored the "Our Journey Continues" event organized by the Al-Hadab Association for Down Syndrome Care in Aqaba's Great Arab Revolt Square. The event was held under the patronage of Shadi Ramzi Al-Majali, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, and in the presence of Khaled Alawi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Aqaba Utilities Company, Yasser Al-Shawabkeh, General Manager of the Aqaba Utilities Management Company, and a number of other officials, along with members of the association and their families. The event was held to celebrate Jordanian national occasions.
The Director General of Aqaba Water Company, Engineer Wael Al-Duwairi, expressed his pride in the company’s support for this initiative, stressing the company’s commitment to supporting the association’s efforts to integrate this group into society and enhance their participation in various national and community events.
This support from the Aqaba Water Company comes as part of a broader public-private partnership aimed at strengthening community solidarity and providing the necessary support for children with Down syndrome, and providing a supportive environment that ensures them a decent life and equal opportunities.
The event was attended by a large number of officials, and included artistic and cultural segments, traditional fashion shows, as well as showcasing inspiring success stories of the association’s members, highlighting their abilities and talents.
