"Blood Ties" Campaign: A practical embodiment of the values ​​of giving and social responsibility in Aqaba

In a move reflecting the spirit of national solidarity and compassion, the Aqaba Water Company and the Aqaba Facilities Management Company launched a humanitarian campaign under the slogan “Blood Generosity” in the Great Arab Revolt Square, in cooperation with the Blood Bank Directorate at the Ministry of Health and several local companies in Aqaba, on the occasion of the national holidays. This initiative resulted in the collection and preparation of 99 units of blood for the Blood Bank, as part of the two companies’ ongoing efforts to support the needs of the local community and provide assistance to those who require blood transfusions on an ongoing basis, affirming the values ​​of national solidarity and unity behind the Hashemite leadership.

The campaign, which was supported by several companies, aimed to instill a culture of voluntary blood donation as part of the companies' corporate social responsibility towards the local community. The event witnessed a large turnout from employees of both companies and citizens present in the Great Arab Revolt Square, reflecting the community awareness and initiative of the participants.

For his part, the Governor of Aqaba, Mr. Khaled Hajjaj, praised the campaign, which comes as part of Jordan's celebrations of national occasions. He said that the initiative represents a true expression of belonging and solidarity among members of the community under the Hashemite leadership. He added that such initiatives reflect the national spirit and strengthen the values ​​of solidarity and cooperation in facing societal challenges.

For his part, the event's sponsor, Engineer Wael Al-Duwairi, General Manager of the Aqaba Water Company, affirmed during his patronage of the event that this campaign stems from the company's commitment to strengthening the concept of social responsibility and actively contributing to supporting the health sector, especially given the ongoing need to provide blood units to save the lives of patients and the injured. He noted that the company continues to deepen its community role by organizing various events and programs, including free medical days, with the aim of enhancing communication with the Jordanian community.

For his part, Yasser Al-Shawabkeh, General Manager of Aqaba Facilities Management Company, explained that the participation of employees in this campaign reflects the spirit of teamwork and high awareness among the staff of the two companies, expressing his thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of this noble initiative, and calling for the continuation of such quality initiatives to serve the nation and the citizen.

The event coordinator, Raya Al-Halsa, also expressed her gratitude to the supporting entities, including Bin Al-Ameed Company, Hamouda Food Industries Company, Global Rice Company, and the All Jordan Youth Commission, in addition to the blood bank staff who contributed to the success of this humanitarian event.
