Members of the Senate visit the Aqaba Water Company and learn about its operational system and services.
The Director General of Aqaba Water Company, Engineer Wael Al-Duwairi, received at the company headquarters His Excellency Senator Sharhabil Madi and Her Excellency Senator Nasima Al-Fakhri, in a visit aimed at learning about the reality of the operational services provided by the company, and the challenges it faces in the Aqaba Governorate.
During the visit, Engineer Al-Duwairi gave a presentation on the nature of the company’s work and the mechanisms for managing water and sanitation services, and the plans that the company is implementing to ensure the sustainability of the service and improve its quality, stressing the company’s keenness to employ the latest technologies to enhance operational efficiency and raise the level of citizen satisfaction.
The dignitaries also toured the company's central control room, where they were briefed on the SCADA system, one of the most advanced systems used to monitor and manage water and wastewater services in the city. They received a detailed explanation of the system's role in tracking performance indicators and detecting faults immediately, thus contributing to rapid response and uninterrupted water supply.
The dignitaries expressed their admiration for the advanced level of services provided by the Aqaba Water Company, and for the efforts made by its staff to ensure the continuity and improvement of the service, praising the high operational efficiency that the company has reached, and the remarkable development in raising performance indicators and improving the quality of operation and management in its various facilities.
His Excellency Senator Sharhabil Madi expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Aqaba Water Company, represented by its General Manager and all its staff, for their continuous efforts in serving the citizens. He also conveyed his thanks and gratitude to His Excellency the Minister of Water and Irrigation, Engineer Raed Abu Al-Saud, for his great efforts and support in developing the water sector and enhancing the company’s performance.
For his part, Engineer Wael Al-Duwairi appreciated this kind visit, expressing his appreciation for the continued follow-up and interest of the dignitaries in the water sector, and stressing that these visits constitute an important incentive to continue working with a spirit of responsibility and cooperation, which will positively reflect on the quality of service provided to citizens.
